CLSM. Epidermal stomata; canned green bean. The image shown is a typical "projection"  image comprised of 38 separate optical planes. The preparation is a 200 µm  vibratome cross-section of the bean with the epidermal surface oriented en face to reveal the depth of the section and the stomata of interest.
