Summer, 1984, Ken's Beluga research days.
Photo taken in haste from the door of the Seal River cabin, just north of the Seal River and south of the border between NWT and Manitoba. Churchill is to the south and visible on a clear night.
Looking closely you can see the nets, set on the tide flats and extending out to the rocks. The Polar Bear is being chased by two Huskies (Atalsic? and Bandit) and my friend Trevor (in the foreground, left). This was almost a daily routine as this coast is a migratory path for Polar Bears.
